Inks Lake State Park

Inks Lake State Park is a very large park that is east of Marble Falls, TX. This is a very nice park, but it has been very cold while we are here. It is clear that it does not freeze much in this area because they do not have freeze protected water connections. No worries, we just filled up our tank and we were fine. We had some very nice views of the lake right out our big picture windows.

We went to church on Sunday in Burnet. It was a pretty little church.

When we got home it started to warm up, so we went for a hike to Devils Waterhole. It is a really cool area that would be great for swimming in the summer.

Here is a view of the falls above the swimming and diving area.

A cool rock outcropping above the falls:

We enjoyed our stay at Inks Lake SP even though it was too cold. We would love to come back when it is warmer, but I am sure it would be packed with people. We do enjoy having these parks to ourselves even if the weather is not perfect.

We decided to move on further south on Monday, January 12. Our plan was to head to Canyon Lake near New Braunfels. We are looking forward to seeing Kim's aunt and uncle while we are there. I will post again as we continue the search for sunny and 75. Have a great day!
